
Heather Freeland
Heather Freeland has been at the vanguard of brand building, marketing technology, and the advertising media landscape with experience driving marketing efforts at some of the world’s largest technology brands.
Heather is currently Adobe’s Vice President of Marketing and Chief Brand Officer, where she oversees global brand marketing efforts including brand strategy and insights, brand advertising and media, creative, and integrated marketing. She thrives in building high-performance teams, by cultivating an operational mindset, infusing a strong appreciation for creative ideas and work, and scaling world-class marketing campaigns to global markets through relevant and impactful execution.
Prior to Adobe, Heather served as the Vice President of Marketing at Lyft, responsible for brand, creative, product, growth, partner and B2B marketing across Lyft’s rideshare, bikeshare and fleet lines of business. She led the evolution of the Lyft brand into new categories, launching breakthrough campaigns like ‘Yes, You are a Bike Person’ and partnerships with celebrities like LeBron James and Alicia Keys.
Before Lyft, Heather was the Head of B2B Global Marketing Communications at Meta, where she led brand strategy, creative, and product marketing. While at Meta, she transformed the marketing industry by launching mobile and video advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Heather has also held senior leadership roles at Gilt Groupe and MTV Networks Digital, and Digitas leading the advent of digital marketing for brands like Nike and American Express.
Heather is a member of Spotify’s marketing advisory council (“Soundboard”). She graduated from the University of Virginia and holds an MBA from Columbia University. She currently resides in Menlo Park with her husband and two children.
